India Edge West Indies in Indore High-Scorer

INDORE — In a high-octane encounter at the Holkar Stadiulm, India edged out the West Indies by 14 runs in the 3rd T20I, surging to a 2–1 lead in the 5-match series.

Batting first after West Indies elected to field, India stormed to 223 all out in 20 overs. Openers Abhishek Sharma (69 off 30 balls, featuring 6 fours and 5 sixes) and Ishan Kishan (37 off 18 balls) put on a rapid 50-run stand to propel India past the 100-run mark inside 8 overs. Quick contributions from Tilak Varma (28) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (21) kept the run rate above 11 per over, though double strikes by Roston Chase (2/38) and Shamar Springer (2/50) triggered a late tail collapse.

Chasing 224, the West Indies made a spirited effort. Middle-order bursts from Shimron Hetmyer (43 off 26) and Kamil Pooran (42 off 27), along with a blistering late-overs cameo from Shamar Springer (35* off 11 balls), kept the visitors in the hunt. However, India's strike bowler Arshdeep Singh (3/44) stepped up with crucial breakthroughs to restrict the West Indies to 209/7 in their 20 overs.
